Equipment

you should bring with you your own equipment

Paper max A1 ( A2 is best)
Drawing board and clips
Charcoal various sizes and hardness
Pencil or ink pens

A portable easel is recommended but not essential.

chairs are provided

Limited number of easels available.

Format

The classes will have different models each week

starting with 5 x 2minute poses
2 x 5 min poses
5 min rest
1 x 20 pose
5 min rest
1 x full length pose with breaks after 20mins
continue Full pose until 8.30
short breaks for the model as required
During the various poses I will make individual supportive critiques and suggestions.

Atelier concept

The classes are structured but informal. They should be considered an economic way of experiencing the amazing, unique atmosphere of drawing a live model.

Experience

The class will explore all style of drawing. Enjoy experimenting and avoid terms like 'good' or 'bad' (consider today's varied styles of successful artists).
Life drawing is about finding solutions and losing yourself to spontaneity. This will lead eventually to a distinctive personal style. Find who you are through your art.
